Clearwater, FL (June 17, 2008) – AAMP of America™, innovators in world-class consumer electronics design, development and distribution, announced today that Frank Storkebaum has been hired as the company’s European Union Sales Representative. Storkebaum, a German with 22-years in the consumer electronics industry, will be responsible for the sales, growth, and overall support of AAMP of America’s Stinger®, Peripheral Electronics®, Best Kits™, and Sound Quest™ brands throughout the 27 EU member nations.
Storkebaum joins the AAMP team from Stillwater Designs in Germany where he was responsible for building their direct market model. Prior to that, he was the managing director for GMS, a German firm responsible for the Rockford Fosgate, Lightning Audio and MB Quart brands of car audio electronics. As a member of the AAMP team, his primary goal will be to build a robust network of dealers in every EU member state and grow AAMP of America into one of the most important names in consumer electronics on the continent. Additionally, he will assist current AAMP of America dealers throughout Europe in growing their business by opening new sales opportunities and providing guidance for more effectively marketing products.
To support Storkebaum’s efforts, the stateside AAMP of America team will be developing exciting new marketing materials – including catalogs, point-of-sale/point-of-purchase pieces and media kits – geared directly toward the European market. This will help to build awareness of AAMP of America brands, as well as provide the European sales force with the tools and materials necessary to maximize their profits.
“The quality of our sales representatives has been one of the keys to AAMP of America’s succes, and we are proud to have Frank joining the AAMP of America team in Europe,” said Sergio DeOliveira, Senior Vice President of Sales for AAMP of America. “Frank brings many years of experience in the 12 volt industry and specifically experience in selling mobile audio accessories. He will be an invaluable asset to our distributors in the EU and is someone who not only understands the dealers’ needs, but someone who can improve their ability to market our brands to car audio enthusiasts. I couldn’t be more excited about working with him and look forward to his many contributions in growing our EU market share.”
