PERIPHERAL ELECTRONICS® INTRODUCES PRODUCTS THAT COMBINE SKU’S TO REDUCE DEALER INVENTORY AND OVERALL COSTS
Clearwater, FL (January 7, 2009) – Automobiles are rolling off the factory line complete with incredibly advanced network systems built in for safety, entertainment, communication and convenience. And, because of these systems are incredibly complex, they typically require multiple OEM interface units for aftermarket radio replacement or other aftermarket upgrades while still retaining premium features. That is, until now…
At the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show, Peripheral Electronics® will be showcasing its new GMAHL1, an OEM interface that facilitates the installation of an aftermarket radio in any OnStar equipped vehicle utilizing the 29-bit GM LAN data bus system. Compatible with OEM amplified or non-amplified audio systems, the GMAHL1 retains all original capabilities and features – including OnStar, Bluetooth™, air bags, back-up sensors, warning chimes and rear-seat video (if available) – making it an all in one interface for most 2006 to 2009 GM vehicles. Plus, Peripheral also incorporated the navigation outputs of the GMLNAV into its newest interface, giving it greater versatility and offering customers even more radio replacement power.
Peripheral will also be showcasing its new CHYAH08 – an interface designed to allow the replacement of a factory radio with an aftermarket head-unit in select late model Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep vehicles. This plug-and-play device facilitates a time saving professional headunit installation while retaining full use of the factory amplifier and speaker system, as well as providing navigation radio outputs for easy nav/non-nav radio installation and steering wheel control interfacing.
The real value of the GMAHL1 and CHYAH08 is that both combine multiple Peripheral SKU’s into one interface, which means lower dealer inventory costs, fewer part numbers and reduced confusion on what part is needed for an installation. This is incredibly important in an economy where many shop owners are looking for ways to cut costs and inventory while still delivering the highest quality products and services available.
The GMAHL1 and CHYAH08 are made and distributed by Clearwater, Florida-based Peripheral Electronics, a sub-division of AAMP of America™. Peripheral is the industry leader when it comes to OEM integration solutions, offering cutting edge solutions for everything from portable media integration and radio replacement in vehicles equipped with OnStar, to add-an-amp interfaces, HD Radio™, Bluetooth, security system interfacing and steering wheel controls. Peripheral’s goal is to provide dealers with the OEM solutions and know-how necessary to satisfy the wants of today’s and tomorrow’s consumer in a dramatically changing industry.
