Clearwater, FL (January 5, 2009) – iSimple has a big surprise in store for visitors to the 2009 Consumer Electronics Show in January, and that surprise is called “The WiFli.” Recipient of a CES Innovations Award, the iSimple WiFli (IRDS) is a plug-and-play automotive iPod interface that offers superior sound through any car stereo, wireless CD-style track control of any iPod or iPhone and displays song and artist information on car radios that support Radio Data System (RDS) reception.

The iSimple WiFli kit consists of a wireless remote control with a quick-set steering wheel cradle and a dongle-style “bug” that jacks directly into your iPod or iPhone.
Once connected, the WiFli transmits a digital RDS FM radio signal to the car stereo, resulting in sound quality superior to that of standard FM modulators. Even better, the iSimple WiFli also transmits iPod/iPhone track data to the radio. This means that car radios equipped with RDS technology will display song title and artist information right on the radio’s display and allow users to enjoy a degree of library browsing from the wireless remote. The iSimple WiFli remote clips easily to almost any steering wheel and provides convenient one-button, CD-style control of the iPod or iPhone.

The WiFli’s bug features a 5-pin USB port which can connected to any standard Mini USB charging device (the kind used on many mobile phones and other portable communications devices) to charge the iPod, while also powering the IRDS. Most importantly, the iSimple WiFli does not experience feedback or static from being used while charging like many FM modulators on the market.

According to Eric LeClerc, a product developer for iSimple and designer of the WiFli, “We created the iSimple WiFli with two things in mind: convenience and safety. As a plug-and-play iPod solution, the WiFli is incredibly easy to use and portable so you can take it anywhere you take your iPod or iPhone. As for safety, we’ve put one-touch control of your iPod right on your steering wheel.
